'Catholic Central TV' Brings the YouTube Show's Catechesis to Your TV

, | April 1, 2022 | By

For several years now, FTP's Catholic Central has been using its unique blend of humor, wit and accurate teaching -- along with some unusual costumes and questionable wig choices -- to help people seeking to learn more about the Catholic faith.

Until now, the episodes and additional material have lived on the show's website CatholicCentral.com, on YouTube, and on its social channels at Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Now, with the advent of Catholic Central TV, existing content and new material are bundled into half-hour TV installments, exploring various themes.

In February, the show made its debut on Canada's Salt + Light TV. Now, on Thursday, April 21 at 9:30 p.m. ET,  Catholic Central TV comes to Boston-based channel CatholicTV.

After premiering Thursdays, episodes will rebroadcast on Fridays at 6 p.m. ET, and Tuesdays at 12:30 a.m. ET.

CatholicTV can be watched on selected cable and satellite systems, live at CatholicTV.org, and via its app on Apple TV, Samsung Smart TVs, Amazon FireTV and Roku.

The 12 episodes feature new commentary and introductions from hosts Kai (Kaiser Johnson) and Libby (Libby Slater). Installments include "Catholic Prayer," "Faith and Science," "Bible Basics," "The Church and Her People" and "Healing."

We're currently planning and working toward fresh episodes of Catholic Central, so watch this space.

In the meantime, we've created a new, downloadable episode guide for educators, catechists, folks going through RCIA or anyone who just wants to learn more about the Faith. Just click on the Menu at CatholicCentral.com.
