Television

Family Theater Productions programs are being aired on public television stations (PBS affiliates) throughout the country and nationally on The Hallmark Channel (via Faith and Values Media) and EWTN (U.S., Canada, Latin America), throughout Canada on Salt and Light Television, and Boston Catholic Television, which also serves via satellite KNXT-TV, Channel 49, Fresno; Telecare TV, Diocese of Rockville Centre, NY; The Prayer Channel, Diocese of Brooklyn, NY; The Television Apostolate and Catholic Life Channel, Diocese of Baton Rouge, La.; and The Ecumenical Television Channel, serving northeastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania. Other Catholic diocesan TV systems airing our programs include Detroit, San Antonio, Scranton, Houma-Thibodaux, La., and Catholic Community Television Network, Leesburg, serving central Florida, including Orlando. Scheduled streams and video-on-demand of many Family Theater programs also are available at the www.FaithStreams.com website, a service of Faith and Values Media.

Radio

Family Theater Productions’ radio programs in Spanish and in English are airing on the EWTN Global Catholic Network-affiliated stations, Sirius Satellite Radio, which carries EWTN, and on independent stations throughout the country.

Voz Latina: Radio for the Latino Explosion programs in Spanish air on the EWTN network and its shortwave frequencies – its reach including North and Latin America – on Sirius (Channel 180) and on 12 stations in California, Kansas, Michigan, North Carolina, Oregon and Texas. The programs are written by top writers and performed by acclaimed Latino actors in the entertainment industry.

Season One, 52 digitally re-mastered Family Theater Classic Radio programs, which first aired on the Mutual Broadcasting System from 1947 to 1969, featuring hundreds of Hollywood stars, is being aired on EWTN radio network (83 U.S. stations, www.ewtn.com/radio/amfm.htm, and Sirius Satellite Radio, Channel 160) on Thursdays at 1 a.m., Fridays at 11:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 6 p.m. (Eastern time). Also 25 stations, many being EWTN affiliates, have specifically scheduled these classics at other times/days. These stations are in Alaska, California, Delaware, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Washington state. The plan is to release these classic programs in increments of 52 until the more than 500 of them have been released to radio stations across the country.

Behind the Scenes

05/05/08 - Tony Sands directs a scene for Family Theater Productions’ new drama, Assumptions, while Family Theater’s sound engineer, Elli Bazini, holds the boom mike. Sands, Family Theater’s Administrator and a USC film school graduate, also directed Finding Mary. Both films, new episodes of Family Theater Productions’ Manifest Mysteries series, have recently been released for broadcast and are expected to be available in DVD for home and class use in mid-June.  »
