Hollywood Prays

Daily Rosary and Daily Mass

To serve the needs of these young, and not so young, people we began Hollywood Outreach in 2002. Our staples are daily Rosary at 11:40 and daily Mass at 12 noon to which the public is invited and at which we pray for Hollywood. Reconciliation and Spiritual Direction

Two priests are available for Confession and for Spiritual Direction. Confession is the Sacrament of Penance and is available before and after Rosary and Mass and at other times during the work day. It is usually wise to call before hand to see if a priest is available. Spiritual Direction is not counseling and not confession but rather walking with someone who is experienced in prayer and able to assist you in getting to know God better and discover his will for you. Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

Hollywood Outreach also includes RCIA specially equipped to meet the needs and schedules of industry professionals. This Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults at Family Theater is a rigorous introduction to the richness of the Catholic faith for all who wish to move towards full communion in the Catholic Church, deepen their understanding of the faith for those already Catholic or move toward Baptism and initiation into the Church for those who previously belonged to no Church.  For more information please all 323-874-6633 and ask for Father Willy or Father David.

Family Theater

Family Theater also offers occasional programs such as “Going Deeper” and “Theology of the Body.” Going Deeper begins by assuming nothing and uses logic and human reason to move from atheism to agnosticism to skepticism to belief in God as Creator, to belief in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, of Moses and David, the God of the covenants; to the God of the New and Eternal Covenant, that we know as Christ and the one Church He founded on the Apostles, guided by the Holy Spirit into all Truth. Theology of the Body uses Pope John Paul’s 129 Wednesday audiences to present a dynamic, powerful and positive view of human sexuality. TOB uses film clips, lectures and discussions. Holy Hour for Hollywood

Every Friday afternoon from 3-4 PM at Family Theater’s Chapel. A great way to conclude the work week and pray for the most needy in Hollywood. For more information please all 323-874-6633.

Bible Study and industry related Prayer and Discussion

Tuesday nights from 7-9 PM. This is a great opportunity meet God personally in His Word, share ideas and faith with other Hollywood professionals. For more information call 323-874-6633.

Prayer and Pasta 

We also have a monthly open house at Family Theater called Prayer and Pasta on the third Wednesday of the month from 7-10:30 PM. This event typically includes a holy hour of prayer, followed by a meal, followed by a program by a noteworthy individual{s} or a film.
